English folk scurrying down a narrow, wet and charming tudor-styled cobblestone street near Stonegate on a rather dreary day. This photograph dated April 05, 1992 was taken by Jim Epler in the spring in York, UK in the Shambles shopping district. It is cataloged under the terms travel, street photography, people, cities and townscapes in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak GOLD 100 color film stock using a Kodak point and shoot camera with a lens.

Photographer Comments: I waited to snap this picture until the people in the frame helped tell the story. I think the lady wearing the VERY red coat and and gray-haired chap on the left with the large glasses have a very "British" look about them, don't they?!? Who knows, maybe the guy on the left was Sir John Major's cousin.

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms King's Square, bloke, rainy, medeival, pubs, shambles, shopping, coblestone, John Majors, tutor, tudor style, Blake street, wet, shop, York, Stonegate, street, England and lassie, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph!
