A rock outcrop which curiously resembles the profile of a beast or monster. An eastern view of the Sierra Nevada mountain range or "Great Western Divide" can be seen in the distance. This photograph dated September 08, 2006 was taken by Jim Epler during the fall in Sequoia National Park, CA on the way down from the top of Moro Rock. It is cataloged under the terms nature and landscapes & vistas in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Fuji Velvia 50 color slide film stock using a Canon EOS Rebel v300 (Ti) camera with a Canon 17-40mm f/4 L lens stopped to f/8.0 and exposed at a speed of 1/125th of a second.

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms sequoia national park, sierra nevada, boulder, giant forest, great western divide, stone, kaweah range, moro rock and rock, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph!
