A close-up view of a Japanese monkey. This photograph was taken by Jim Epler at 11:32 PM on 5/16/2007 in Odawara, JPN at Odawara Castle. It is cataloged under the term animals in this photography database.

This image was recorded on digital media using a Canon Digital Rebel xTi camera with a Canon 70-200mm f/4 L lens stopped to f 4 and exposed at a speed of 1/1000 sec.

Photographer Comments: We saw these interesting (and stinky) monkeys while visiting the Odawara Castle in the city of Odawara, Japan.

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms Japan, odawara castle, monkey and Japanese, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph!
