A silver gelatin photograph of decorative bottles on a windowsill. This photograph captured in September, 1999 was taken by Jim Epler in the summer in Charlottesville, VA at his home on Stadium Avenue. It is cataloged under the terms art, still life and objects in this photography database.

The image was exposed on 35mm Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white film stock using a Pentax Asahi Spotmatic II camera with a Asahi Pentax 135mm f/2.5 lens.

Photographer Comments: These decorative bottles adorned a window in the small house where I lived when completing my Master's Degree at the University of Virginia. The little house was on Stadium Avenue. I like this photograph because it reminds me of my abode, but it also reminds me how nice it was when the morning sunlight streamed into the room and reflected off the plants that were sitting on the ledge of the fireplace. I especially like the narrow depth of field and clarity of focus directed on the bottles.

Additionally, Jim thought of search words that someone might use to locate this picture including the terms decorations, bottles, decorative, decoration, still life and bottle, so he included these on this page as a service to himself and others who would like to download this free photograph!
